Here are a dozen pictures from our trip, which may explain why it takes a minute to load.

Here's Piper at her work place in Manhattan. She moved to Brooklyn a few months ago, so a trip to visit during the winter break seemed called for. It was also an opportunity to celebrate our 30th anniversary a little early, since a trip would be impractical in May.

The tree was still up in Rockefeller Center when we got there. After watching the skaters we stepped over to the left and mingled with the crowd outside the Today Show, one of Francie's favorites.

It snowed the 2nd morning we were there. Not for very long, but for two tourists from Fresno it was a treat.

We got Metro cards good for a week's worth of public transportation and became competent at using the subways.

Sometimes public restrooms are in short supply. I quickly learned not to whiz on the 3rd rail.

This is part of an impressive handrail surrounding The Dakota.

We took the shorter but steeper path up the hill to The Cloisters. Pardon me while I catch my breath.

For the record, the answer to that age old question is: President & Mrs. Grant are buried here.

St. Paul's has been in continuous use since 1776 and is across the street from Ground Zero.

Fooling around with the Empire State Building from the Top Of The Rock.

More fooling around with the Empire State.
If you didn't get your fill of our travel photos, come by the house and I'll make you look at the other 120.
We hope you had a Happy New Year too!
