This Associated Press photo of the McCarther twins in the mid 80's led to speculation about their unique lifestyle and resulted in the accompanying collection of photos and drawings. The photos represent a cooperation born of necessity, while the drawings depict the fantasy of separation. This work was originally compiled as a handmade book and sent out as a mail art project.
